This time THREE shows. All my morning shows: Live!, Rachael Ray and The View. I have scheduled recordings in the list that have been cancelled for two years ago yet current running shows are gone.
Justin furstenfeld mom. Most of Justin's songs are so brutally honest you can't NOT know that they are about one person's very painful journey through mental illness, romantic agony, a failed marriage, and the birth of his daughter. The book is enough, but would have been better with MORE.
Which means they're getting deleted somehow and not by me. (I'm the only one that plays /w the DVR) Everything recorded fine on Friday. On Monday, all gone. I'm almost wondering if this happens around the end of the season when season finales are happening but who knows. I don't even have them set for 'New only'. At least morning shows aren't all that important if I miss them but this has happened before and it's really annoying. I can't be the only one this is happening to.

You have the option in settings to have the oldest recording automatically deleted when the DVR gets full. I do not have that set as sometimes I don't watch everything right away. In reply to the OP about the DVR being full it was pretty full.
I recorded Petals On The Wind and Flowers In The Attic and Flowers stopped early because I ran out of room. So my question is--if a show stops recording because there's no more room why do shows get deleted? They're not going to record anyway and why aren't ALL scheduled recordings deleted? The other 8 daily recorded shows didn't get deleted? Does the DVR think that by deleting them they won't record? Then why stop the original recording when there's no space left? And why leave the other recordings?

Sounds like a software glitch to me. Said by: I think OP is describing a different issue.Ya. I may be off-topic, because I'm responding to Jackarino's comment that his DVR stops recording when his disk is full. Fallenangel's point is well-taken, IMO. If the DVR stops recording when the disk is full, why bother to auto-delete any shows at all? The only explanation I can think of is that Jackarino's storage was 100% full of 'keep for 14 days' recordings, so it couldn't delete those to make room and therefore had to stop recording anything new. Said by [bquote=FallenAnjel: I would like to add that I have the silver SA8300 DVR box. Can't say that I've heard it all, but I never heard of a SA8300 DVR (NOT Multiroom) deleting recorded shows off it's hard drive by itself.
Unless, of course you have it set to keep ONLY the last five recorded programs(same show), the 14 days choice/mode, or unless it's just human error & you inadvertently deleted the programs yourself. Now of course if this was Multiroom DVR, then yes, we all had a one point shows that have gotten deleted. Some people more lucky than others, but yes shows can get deleted unfortunately.
