There are 159 episode's, there should be 161 as detailed here: 2. Does this set have any dubbing? What (if any) episodes are butchered/cut? As I'd have to source the uncut one's from old video's if there are any. If this is not the best set to go for, which is now?

They did have a rocky start with volume's 1 and 2, but had a product recall and reinstated 2 shorts and had 'most' episodes uncut. However, that collection only has 113 episodes rather than 161, where the uk classics collection has 159, but been shredded.

So your right, there is not a single set out there that is even close to the original's. Well at least I can just purchase the uk set, have more short's and just put up with the cut's until I dust the old vhs off and convert them across to a more suitable format. I'm not sure why you tube, or indeed WB, allow's the shorts to be streamed on there. I think I might fire them a mail and ask them myself. As for the new 'golden collection', it looks like we dont have to pay a premium for blu ray afterall, as they too are being released on DVD: So let's hope that when they get it all done there are 161 short's all uncut. I would opt for blu ray, but it's more pricey than the usual dvd's and all I do is rip them to the smallest format possible retaining as much quality as I can and shove them on my portable HDD for viewing via the media players in my bedrooms. The discs I then go and shove in a box on the shelf never to be touched again unless I need to re rip them, and I have all my tv and cartoons on that drive EDIT: shame I can't simply buy uncut downloads, would save the ripping.
