It worked for me, I did get the Shell error but everything seems to work. @markelise if you need the presets then you shouldn't be using this because all you will do is fuck up your sounds and masters adding to much or expecting the presets to work the same for every track. Best bet for you is to do some reading and come back to the plug ins for your tunes. Once you learn how to use them properly you won't care about presets. Presets don't teach you anything either, if you ask me (which you didn't) they are a deterrent from people learning how to use them correctly.

I got it to work!!! Heres how I did it, courtesy of PaidPirate. First uninstall waves. Then use a good registry cleaner like 'Ccleaner'. (yes, it's free) to clear your registry. Then.go to Control Panel>User Accounts>Change User Account Settings. Here you bring the slider all the way down to Never Notify.

Well, The Account Control prevents any program from accessing folders without user permission, even though Waveshell was able to locate the plug-ins folder, it was not able access it). Cick OK, then restart your computer. Right-click the Waves setup.exe and select 'Run As Admin. After installation you should see the pop-up box asking to select your plug-in folder. Whenever you Start your DAW., again right-click> Run As Admin. Then go into your FX directory and add the plugin folders you just made and VIOLA! New super mario bros wii patch template.

Those who haven't battled with waves might need some help though. Keep in mind the VST installation directory should be your 32 bit VST shared folder. The waveshell is all that needs to be in your shared VST folder (atleast for Sonar). The Waves data can be installed elsewhere. The waveshell is what needs to be scanned into your DAW and then the waveshell connects to the individual waves.

Just make sure it's in the 32 bit folders because 64 bit is a headache for waves plug-ins. Hope this helps any fellow Sonar users out. Great torrent and props to the uploader.
